Communication. Clarity. Commitment.
These are the three C’s for sidestepping the muck in any high-stakes period of transition, and in my work I lean heavily on these pillars to help support farm families with the things that keep them awake at night and block them from living the life they dream of, and deserve.
Watch my vlog here, where I share some client texts from a recent session in North Dakota. With these three C’s in mind I offer notes of encouragement, clarity on common misconceptions, and some really important questions to ask yourself if you’re feeling stuck.
One of the texts came from a farm wife who felt like marital counseling was an important first step towards any sort of successful farm transition. Her insight on the importance of seeking help with marital communication, before even attempting a transition, is wise and if you’re in the same boat then you might want to check out BetterHelp. It’s a great resource and will set you up for success as you enter into this new phase of life.
Today, I sign off with a love note: You deserve to know, without question, that you are deeply loved. You deserve to feel appreciated. You have it within you to take the bull by the horns and build the life you’ve always wanted. The life you deserve. Now, go and get it.
