You love your family. You love the farm. But something has to change.
Transitioning a farm isn’t just a business decision — it’s a deeply emotional journey tangled in tradition, silence, and the weight of legacy.
Whether you’re:
- A founder afraid of what happens after you hand over the reins,
- A successor unsure how to step up without stepping on toes,
- An in-law watching from the sidelines, aching for peace…
A shift has to happen.
And it starts with having the conversations that scare you…before they become the conversations you regret not having.
The Farm Family Transition Membership gives you the tools, support, and real talk you need to finally move forward, without sacrificing relationships in the process.
Is This You?
FOUNDER
You’ve worked your whole life to build this farm, and now you’re staring down the next chapter. You want to pass it on with love and intention, but you’re afraid the conversations it takes might crack everything wide open.
You’re stuck between holding on and letting go, and you don’t want to lose the family in the process.
Successor
You’re ready to step up. But you’re walking on eggshells — trying not to upset the balance, trying to find your voice in a room full of legacy.
You want to be seen, trusted, and invited into leadership without causing a storm.
In-Law Or Extended Family
You’re watching the tension rise. You see the cracks, feel the pressure, and wonder how to help without making things worse.
You care deeply, but you don’t always know where you fit — or how to speak up in a way that brings peace, not more pain.

This is about more than just transition. It’s about protecting your relationships, preserving your values, and ensuring the legacy you’ve worked for isn’t lost in the process.
Real Families. Real Change.
Our members have put in the work and experienced profound transformation. And you can do it, too.
This farm transition has been a very slow process, and I am very thankful to be a part of the group. Just transferring the brand to the next generation revealed a lot more than I expected, and I found that asking the right questions that were suggested was very helpful. For example, “Help me understand why you do not want to….?” This process is teaching me to help prepare us for our farm transition, as my husband is 57, and I am 52. I find that you have so much helpful information, and I need to become serious about making time. The problem is that when I push forward, it means we need to make changes, and when dealing with aging parents, change is NOT easy for them.
I love the community that has been created. Learning from other farm families has been tremendously helpful and insightful. Also, having Elaine and her team accessible to help navigate any issues that arise or answer any questions really gives me a great peace of mind. Having documents and content to download and share with family members is tremendously helpful and useful too. I really enjoy being a part of the Farm Family Transition Membership!

Forced Into Leadership:
One Woman’s Farm Transition Story
The Struggle
A farm partner was facing a major transition: her spouse’s declining health meant big decisions had to be made quickly. She was unsure how to move forward, especially with financial planning and family communication.
The Support
She joined the membership to access tools and support for:
- Completing a business evaluation of the farm.
- Preparing and facilitating family meetings with both farm heirs and non-farming siblings.
- Learning how to minimize accounting bills while receiving guidance on structure and succession planning.
- Participating in group coaching and breakout rooms to learn from others navigating similar challenges.
The Outcome
Consistently showing up for group coaching helped her stay focused and maintain a healthier mental outlook. The family now has financial transparency, several productive meetings under their belt, and a clearer plan as she leads the transition while her spouse steps back.
Let’s Have A Little Heart-to-Heart
Hey there, it’s Elaine.
I know how heavy this journey can feel — not just as a coach, but as a farm wife who’s brought hot meals to the field and sat through the hard silences at the dinner table.
The kind where no one says what they’re really thinking… and everyone feels the weight of what’s unspoken.
The fear, that if you push too hard, the whole family might break apart.
The exhaustion of holding it all together while trying to plan for a future that feels uncertain.
I’ve walked through that, with my own family, and with hundreds of others across the country.
Families full of love and hard work… but stuck in patterns that silence them.
This membership is a place for you to be seen, to be heard, and to find the support you need. A place to move through the tough conversations with courage, clarity, and connection.
I’m here, the coaches are here, and the community we’re building – full of families just like yours, ready to heal, to listen, and to grow together.
Taking this first step might feel uncertain, but it’s the beginning of hope. A way toward a future where your family legacy is not just preserved, but thrives in peace.
You don’t have to carry this burden alone.
–Elaine
The weekly Zoom conversations and the monthly lessons are incredibly valuable. Elaine and her team have the knowledge, skills, experience and common sense to work through the many issues of farm transition/succession.
It’s so great that the members are able to learn from each other – a very valuable and beneficial bonus for members.
I got a lot from the provided resources – book recommendations, handouts, and reference links during Zoom calls. I also really enjoyed the format of the monthly material provided to cohorts; the Module videos and implementation guides were great. It was really comforting to know that the coaches were going through these experiences too.
I like the support and understand that all farm situations are not the same, but I’m able to relate and get information from the scenarios discussed. It’s reassuring to hear that I’m not alone and that no situation is perfect, but I can choose to make it better. I like being able to work at my own pace, but accountability is definitely helpful to keep me moving through the Modules.
I really love the interaction with all the different family situations. I also love the privacy factor and knowing that we are not alone in trying to make the transition to the next generation. Also, the entire team of coaches is doing a fabulous job!
Loved the interaction with other farmers and ranchers to suggest ideas of how they can get “unstuck” and work toward solutions to their personal dilemmas.
We gained a lot of info from the membership, e.g. writing things down and writing a letter to our children. I feel our situation is different from most of the other folks and consider ourselves lucky after hearing some of the other stories.

The Struggle
One female farmer was pushing transition forward alone. Her successor and spouse weren’t engaged, and the workload felt crushing.

- Received ideas on how to delegate or outsource work.
- Joined breakout coaching to get tailored advice.

The Outcome
She began seeing real progress — new wills were signed, family meetings happened, and her mental load became lighter. With renewed clarity and support, she’s no longer walking the path alone.

Does the monthly or yearly membership cost include my whole farm family?
Absolutely! The membership includes any members involved in the farm’s decision-making: immediate family, in-laws, and even your non-farm heirs.
No matter the role on the farm, we find it’s most beneficial when families can all get on the same page, to the same table, and learn and grow from the same support and resources.
What if I can’t convince my entire farm family to participate?
Be brave and take the reins! Change is hard, and those who are truly stuck need courageous leaders (like you!) to help them through the muck. It only takes a single member of the farm family to shift the culture of your farm towards a lasting legacy that’ll be prosperous for generations to come.
How long does the membership run for?
The membership is ongoing. Choose between an annual or monthly payment plan. You can continue for as long as your family is benefiting and growing, and cancel before the next billing period. New resources and videos are added regularly, and the membership grows and evolves along with its members.
We’re unable to join the membership at this time. Can we join during a different month?
You can always sign up for the membership before the doors close and start whenever it works best for your family.
Where can I learn more about the topics covered each month?
For each month of your membership, we’ll explore a major theme and different weekly topics for each of the three LIVE calls.
Note: Though we always have a specific monthly theme and pre-planned weekly topics for the LIVE calls, members are always encouraged to speak up and ask questions on any topic, issue, or curiosity they may need support with at the time. This is an ongoing conversation and talking about the tough stuff is what we’re here for.
We cover these topics and more:
- Module 0 – Get Unstuck
- Module 1 – Get To The Table
- Module 2 – Culture Beats Strategy
- Module 3 – Conflict Resolution 101
- Module 4 – Discuss the Undiscussabull™
- Module 5 – Finding Fairness in Farm Transition
- Module 6 – Dealing with Entitlement
- Module 7 – In-Law Factor
- Module 8 – Effective Family Meetings
Will we miss out on anything important if we join now, but begin later?
The membership is designed to be ongoing, so you can jump in whenever it works best for your family and cancel at any time.
When you join, you get immediate access to the training Modules, the community, as well as the welcome and how-to videos, plus many more resources provided on the LIVE calls.
Note: It’s always best to join LIVE when you can (even if only one member of your farm family can attend), but to make sure you don’t miss anything important, please note that all LIVE calls are recorded, which means you can access the recordings at any time.
How is this different from a course?
Courses walk you through limited training, and once you’ve completed the training, you move on. With the Farm Family Transition Membership, you’ll continue to learn, connect, and grow with us for as long as you like. We’ll explore monthly themes and topics based on the coaching Elaine and her team have provided to over 1,000 families in the past 20 years. This stuff really works!
Plus, you get weekly access to Elaine, her coaches, and the farm family transition community to ask questions, share your challenges, and gain valuable resources and insights to support your farm family’s transition every step of the way. You don’t have to transition alone.
Will I have direct access to Elaine?
While you won’t have one-on-one time with Elaine, you will get LIVE group access three times per month.
Plus, all members will receive an invitation to book a 30-minute Complimentary Coaching Session with one of Elaine’s coaches, where you’ll work together on your biggest farm transition challenge.
What if I want to cancel?
You’ll have access to both Elaine and the dedicated team of coaches for a fraction of what their usual coaching fees are for as long as you’re a member. And if you ever need to cancel for any reason, simply complete our cancellation form, and you will not be charged for the next billing cycle.
Please Note: Refunds are not available, but you will maintain access to your membership until the end of your billing cycle.
Can I cancel my membership temporarily and rejoin later?
You can rejoin the membership once the doors reopen in the Fall. We completely understand that life happens, unexpected circumstances arise, and things change, but it’s our top priority to ensure our members have a smooth, cohesive, and uninterrupted membership experience with both their family and cohorts.
What happens to my resource materials if I cancel?
When you become a Farm Family Transition member, you can revisit and review the materials as much as you want. The training Modules, resources, and any LIVE recordings are yours for as long as you’re an active member, but any downloadable resources are yours to keep forever.
